Upgrading ipod system to 2.1 cures previous crashes. Appears to work very well but still need to test further (I wanted to correct the previous post immediately that it fails to work).

My first purchased app and I am happy with it. It does what it says and it keeps a daily history which is one of the better features. No issues with OS2.1 on a 3G.
Doesnt work! Wont count my steps. Period. Someone tell me how to fix this crap.
At first I thought this thing was not working because when the screen went off it stopped counting. You have to touch the "Lock" button unobtrusively sitting at the top the Steps screen. The only thing is that it then keeps the screen permanently on. It should at least dim the screen so as not to drain the battery if it is going to prevent the thing from switching off the screen.
This is one of the most used apps on my iphone. Works perfectly. I would like to see an option to have the screen off when walking so as not to drain the battery unnecessarily.
This app worked great for a couple of days and then just quit for no apparent reason. Dont know how to resolve the problem.
Not great. Doesnt count all steps.
Just got in from my evening walk. According to Google Maps, the route I followed should have been 1.66 miles and taken the average person 33 minutes. According to this app, I actually walked for 32:47. So as a stopwatch (which the iPhone already comes with), it works pretty well. However, it says I covered 3.98 miles in that 32:47 ... meaning I was apparently strolling around the neighborhood doing 8-minute-14-second miles, a speed I rarely matched when I was in junior high (Im 40 now, and I wasnt in gym class tonight). Hopefully the next update will address this bug; if it does, Ill come back and write a more favorable review...
Almost impossible to calibrate with its tiny slider bar, and consistently innacurate. $1.99 I should have spent on a coffee.
I like it. I tried iPedometer and gpsCompass and it does NOT work on the iPod touch. That is what I have, and got this, AND IT WORKS! Oh, now I wont have to wait until I go to Grandmas for the treadmill. Now I can see how many miles I ran in the blink of an eye!
This is the best pedometer app for the price, as it offers the ability to listen to your iTunes music as you walk, saves battery life by dimming the screen, has an attractive and easy-to-use interface, and has excellent logs that track how far you walk each day. The only glitch I found is that it doesnt click as promised when youre trying to set the sensitivity. Im not sure how accurate it is, really, or to what extent it relies on GPS to calculate how far youve walked. Regardless, its an excellent way to see how far youve walked one day compared to another - and to try to improve your fitness by taking even more steps.
It doesnt seem to work in the background when you are using the iPhone for something else, like checking the map. Nor does it work unless the display is active ... so the battery is drained with the phone just sitting in your pocket. If these issue could be solved it would be OK -- but as it is, it just doesnt work as an all-day pedometer.
Settings で、センサーの感度を変更出来るのが◎。Metric を ON にすれば cm と kg で設定も出来ますし History も記録出来ます。これで Steps をリセットできると言う事無しなんだけどねぇ。
I need English version of this app. Because of stupid computer interpreter, Japanese instruction doesnt make any sense. (i dont mean this glitch turn this app into crappy one though..)
there are plenty of pedometer apps but i chose this one and totally happy with it. there is a sensibility test in the beginning.written weight and height gives a perfect calorie calculation.
Amateur walker, here. But love this app! Took several tweaks to calibrate, but worth it.
This is a nice app but it is very sensitive. You need to set it just right. Overall this is a good app.
NO GOOD! This app has never worked for me despite calibrations and updates. Has never kept a history, shuts down at any moment, simply does not work.
Aside from not getting consistent reporting walking the same path every day, this app doesnt run in the background and doesnt seem to make good use of the GPS. Even for $.99 I wouldnt recommend this app.
It works and has been a reliable companion through several hundred miles and a weight loss of more than 100 lbs. It also serves as a stopwatch. My wife uses it to time speeches in her College Speech Class.
